Democratic Party Leadership Also Voices Criticism of Prosecutor Yoon

On the same day in the afternoon, Lee said through Facebook, "It is difficult to suppress shock and disappointment over the charges against Prosecutor General Yoon announced by the Ministry of Justice."
He emphasized, "I hope the Ministry of Justice will strictly proceed with the future procedures according to the law."
Kim Tae-nyeon, floor leader, also told reporters at the National Assembly, "The results of the Ministry of Justice's inspection appear very serious."
Choi In-ho, chief spokesperson of the Democratic Party, said in a briefing that day, "As the Minister of Justice, appropriate measures according to laws and regulations should be taken regarding the inspection results," and added, "I hope Prosecutor General Yoon shows self-reflection on the inspection results."
He also added, "We will further accelerate prosecution reform so that the prosecution can be reborn as an organization trusted by the people."
The Democratic Party leadership, including supreme council members, also raised their voices in criticism of Prosecutor General Yoon. On the same day, Supreme Council Member Noh Woong-rae said on Facebook, "All people are equal before the law, and the Prosecutor General is not a sanctuary," and stated, "Prosecutor General Yoon, who can no longer perform normal duties, must decide his position himself."
