[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The number of newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Seoul area has exceeded 120 in one day.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases from 0:00 to 18:00 on the 24th was 124.
The infection routes of these new confirmed cases include 12 related to Dongdaemun-gu High School and Mapo-gu Hongdae Saegyo Church, 12 at Sauna II in Seocho-gu, and 3 at Sauna I in Seocho-gu.
Additionally, one more confirmed case each was reported from existing cluster infection cases at a PC room in Seongdong-gu, Mojo Cafe in Dongjak-gu, a teacher certification academy in Dongjak-gu, a hospital in Gangseo-gu, and a sports facility in Jungnang-gu.
There were 3 imported cases from overseas, 5 contacts from other cities and provinces, 50 cases from other infection routes, and the remaining 34 cases are still under investigation by health authorities to determine the infection routes.
Accordingly, as of 18:00, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul was tallied at 7,882.
