Gwangju Office of Education and KEPCO KPS Sign MOU to Foster Talent in the Energy Sector

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 24th that it signed a business cooperation agreement with KEPCO KPS in the superintendent's office to support the activation of employment for high school graduates and the nurturing of talent in the regional energy sector.


The business cooperation agreement was promoted to fulfill social responsibility through job creation and providing equal opportunities.


The signing ceremony was attended by Superintendent Jang Hwi-guk, KEPCO KPS President Kim Beom-nyeon, and officials from both organizations.


Through this agreement, students from specialized high schools will participate in KEPCO KPS internships and career experience programs.


Specialized high school students and teachers in Gwangju will participate in the future talent nurturing program in the electric power industry, "KPS-Faraday School," receiving on-site education from master technicians in the electric power industry.


KEPCO KPS operates the "KPS-Faraday School" electric power industry on-site education program at its Talent Development Center located in Naju, Jeollanam-do, to create social value tailored to the company's unique characteristics.


Additionally, smart devices will be provided to specialized high school students from information-vulnerable groups.


Superintendent Jang Hwi-guk said, "Through this business cooperation agreement, vocational high school students will have various career experience and field training opportunities," adding, "I hope this will be an important opportunity for specialized high school students in the Gwangju area to grow into talents equipped with future capabilities and achieve regional co-prosperity and development."
