The Excellent Quality Competitiveness Company is a system in which the government selects companies that continuously satisfy customers and achieve business performance through quality management, including quality improvement, cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and service quality improvement, and supports continuous strengthening of quality competitiveness. The awards are presented annually at the National Quality Management Competition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's National Institute of Technology and Standards and organized by the Korea Standards Association.
After conducting an online self-diagnosis through the company's quality competitiveness evaluation system, quality experts conduct on-site evaluations on 13 assessment items including strategy and management system, corporate culture, talent development, quality system, customer satisfaction, product development, and technological capability, and then select the companies. Emons was selected as an Excellent Quality Competitiveness Company for the fourth consecutive year following last year.
