Roseus Innovates Ecosystem with "AI News for Me" Service

Roseus Innovates Ecosystem with "AI News for Me" Service

There was a time when having more information and data was a competitive advantage, but now, with the ability to search anytime and anywhere through the internet and mobile devices, the focus has shifted from 'how much simple information one possesses' to the ability to select necessary and valuable data.

In line with this trend, the concept of curation has begun to gain attention. Originally a term used in the art world to describe the process of selecting works for exhibition, it now refers to the act of selecting and providing only valuable data and information across all fields.

The importance of curation is now influencing the media industry as well. News curation services are gaining attention and achieving results worldwide. A prime example is China's 'Jinri Toutiao.' Launched in 2012 with a focus on providing personalized news and content through AI technology, Jinri Toutiao had already surpassed 700 million cumulative users and 78 million daily active users by 2017. Its annual revenue exceeds 2 trillion Korean won. In the United States, the Wall Street Journal began offering personalized news curation services based on reader data in 2018, resulting in a 15-fold increase in paid subscription conversion rates among site visitors. Facebook also provides personalized news services under the name News Tab.

Roseus Innovates Ecosystem with "AI News for Me" Service

Roseus, developed by Bflysoft, is a service that offers AI-powered personalized news curation tailored to current news consumption trends. It selects and displays only the essential news from hundreds of thousands of articles published daily. By aggregating over 99% of domestic media and utilizing more than 100 categories with detailed keyword settings, along with AI and big data technologies, the service provides increasingly accurate search and recommendation results the more it is used.

Another strength of Roseus is its vast news big data accumulated over 15 years as a news copyright distribution partner since 2004, along with a network and system integration channeling service with over 3,000 media outlets. This enables stable news content procurement and utilization, which is crucial for news curation services. Based on this, various applied services such as personal clipping services can also be expanded extensively.

Thanks to these advantages, the recently launched Roseus app beta service is receiving positive market responses. Notably, it was introduced as a ‘personal AI news assistant’ service that selects only the necessary news from hundreds of thousands of daily articles in the report published recently by the Seoul National University Consumer Trend Analysis Center.

Bflysoft stated that through Roseus, it plans to enhance AI-based personalized news curation services to improve article recommendation accuracy, provide newsrooms that anyone?media companies or individuals?can open for free, contribute to revitalizing media content distribution and increasing traffic, and offer article recommendation and reward systems. This aims to expand public participation and ensure quality news is properly evaluated, creating a new media ecosystem beneficial to both content producers and consumers. The company also plans to expand the service globally in languages such as English and Chinese.

CEO Kyunghwan Lim of Bflysoft said, “The world is already shifting from simply having a large amount of data to selectively securing important data. Going forward, we will promote trustworthy news consumption by transforming news from something people search for into a service that accurately finds its users. We will create innovations that allow all new global media ecosystem players to realize fair profits.”

Meanwhile, Bflysoft is the official news copyright distributor for the Korea Press Foundation and a company striving to create new value through media big data information and AI technology. By combining media big data and AI, it offers various BDaaS-related services such as , a specialized platform for media big data collection and processing, and , a media big data monitoring and analysis platform.
