At the Executive Meeting, Emphasis on Strengthening Care for Marginalized Groups and Public Officials Urged to Set an Example in Preventing COVID-19 Spread
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Seo Chun-soo, the mayor of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, urged efforts to create a happy Hamyang without welfare blind spots during the winter season at the executive meeting in the fourth week of November.
The county held an executive meeting in the county office's large conference room, chaired by Mayor Seo Chun-soo, where reports on important pending projects by each department were presented, and cooperation from each department was secured for smooth project implementation.
On this day, Mayor Seo said, “With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the arrival of winter, the difficulties of marginalized groups in welfare blind spots may worsen,” adding, “Please take thorough care of marginalized groups such as elderly living alone and low-income families so that they can spend a warm winter without any gaps.”
He also stated, “With about a month left this year, it is time to focus on completing construction and minimizing budget carryovers,” and added, “Also, please do your best to prepare for various year-end evaluations so that good results can be achieved as much as the efforts made.”
Along with this, he ordered thorough measures regarding proactive field administration for the residents, securing budgets, increasing population, and improving integrity, which are urgent pending projects.
Mayor Seo Chun-soo of Hamyang-gun said, “COVID-19 is spreading again. Administrative officials and public servants should set an exemplary behavior ahead of the residents,” and requested, “Let us all work together so that COVID-19 can never take root again in our county.”
