[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 24th that it will produce 3,000 copies of a brochure introducing products produced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the district and distribute them to related organizations.
This brochure was created to raise awareness of products produced by local SMEs and support their sales channels. It reflects the opinions of business owners collected through a comprehensive survey of companies residing in industrial complexes conducted in the first half of this year in response to COVID-19.
The brochure contains detailed descriptions of products produced by 71 SMEs and company information, and accessibility was enhanced by including QR codes for each company.
The main products listed cover 12 industries including ▲broadcasting and telecommunications ▲lighting ▲electronic components and devices ▲machinery and equipment ▲medical and healthcare products ▲kitchen appliances ▲beauty products ▲software development. For convenience, the index is categorized by sector and by companies registered with the Public Procurement Service.
Buk-gu plans to distribute the brochures to public institutions, educational institutions, welfare facilities, and companies, and will also provide information to local governments nationwide through online channels such as the district website and KakaoTalk channel.
District Mayor Moon In said, “This brochure was produced by actively reflecting the demands of SMEs suffering from sluggish domestic demand due to COVID-19,” and added, “We expect it to help open new sales channels, and we will continue to discover and promote various policies that support business stability.”
