T'way Air and Air Busan to Resume Flights to Hong Kong and Ningbo Respectively in December

Weekly Flights for Each Route

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] National low-cost carriers (LCCs) facing difficulties due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic are gradually resuming international flights.

T'way Air and Air Busan announced on the 24th that they will resume the Incheon~Hong Kong and Incheon~Ningbo (China) routes respectively in December. T'way Air's Incheon~Hong Kong route will operate once a week starting December 14, and Air Busan's Incheon~Ningbo route will operate once a week (Sundays) starting December 6.

T'way Air's Incheon~Hong Kong flight tickets are sold at a total one-way price of 188,000 KRW per person, allowing a total of 40 kg of free baggage including checked and cabin baggage. However, the company explained that entry to Hong Kong is only possible for holders of a Hong Kong ID card, so travelers should be aware of this.

With the resumption of Air Busan's Incheon~Ningbo route, the existing Incheon~Shenzhen route will operate only until the 27th. An Air Busan official stated, "Guangdong Province, where Shenzhen is located, currently has many flights operating from Incheon Airport, including nearby Guangzhou, but there are currently no national carrier flights to Zhejiang Province, where Ningbo is located," adding, "This resumption will improve convenience for business travel and other commercial demand."
