[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon]The Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperation Foundation) donated 26.28 million KRW on the 24th to the Community Chest of Korea in Guro-gu, Seoul, to support small business owners and vulnerable groups in Guro affected by COVID-19.
The donation was raised by Kim Sooncheol, Secretary General of the Cooperation Foundation, and three department heads who gave up part of their salaries for four months. The funds will be delivered to basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, elderly living alone, and child-headed households in the Guro area who are struggling due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The Cooperation Foundation plans to provide the donation in the form of Onnuri gift certificates to the vulnerable groups so that the benefits will reach local small business owners and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
