[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Students from the College of Design at Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award and two Winner awards among three teams at the 55th Korea Design Exhibition. Dongseo University also set a record by producing the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award winner for four consecutive years.
The Korea Design Exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and jointly organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion and the Korea Design Federation.
This competition, held annually since 1966, is the most prestigious design award in Korea. It is the largest government-certified domestic design contest judged on a fair platform where designs are evaluated solely on their own merits without any prejudice or restrictions on design concepts.
This year, about 1,500 works were submitted by participants including companies, design institutions, design studios, professional designers, and university students, competing to showcase their skills.

The Winner awards went to the College of Design students Kim Hyun-ji, Ha Soo-jung, and Kim Ryun-kyung for ‘Voice Sticker For Blind’ and to Park Min-jun for the work ‘Your Social Distancing is a Model for Korea.’
