[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) has newly assigned object addresses to a total of 619 locations, including earthquake outdoor shelters, street vendors, and bus stops within the district.

Object addresses refer to addresses assigned to various facilities using road name addresses, instead of the traditional method of assigning addresses only to existing buildings, providing precise location information to easily identify facility locations.

In particular, the district assigned object addresses to 81 designated shelters such as children's parks, school playgrounds, and plazas for resident safety in the event of an earthquake, and completed the installation of object address plates indicating the addresses.

Additionally, object addresses were assigned to facilities closely related to residents' daily lives, such as bus stops, taxi stands, and street vendors. The assigned addresses are also provided to navigation systems, fire departments, and police, which is expected to help in prompt response during emergencies.

Meanwhile, to widely promote the Gang Gam-chan city brand, 120 honorary road signs for 'Gang Gam-chan-daero' designated on Nambusunhwan-ro were installed on pedestrian safety fences between Sillim Station and Seoul National University Station, actively promoting to citizens visiting the district.

Mayor Park Junhee said, “By assigning addresses to stops, street vendors, and earthquake shelters closely related to residents' lives, we expect not only efficient facility management but also prompt reporting and response in emergencies. We will continue to carry out various projects to enhance convenience in residents' daily lives.”
