[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 22nd regarding the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC), "The Moon Jae-in administration is threatening to launch a 'military operation' to amend the PCC Act," and added, "It will face popular resistance."
On the same day, Joo said on Facebook, "If the monstrous PCC is launched, even if cases involving power holders illegally profiting from key positions in the Blue House and government arise, the PCC will simply take over the cases," adding, "It will become a dumping ground and final disposal site for power-related corruption."
Joo also stated that the head of the PCC will "certainly be a stubborn 'ally' even more so than Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae."
Joo said, "Our opposition party does not have the power to stop the PCC Act. Even if we shave our heads and stage protests outside, they won't even blink," and added, "Great chaos and great order (大亂大治) ? pushing the world into complete confusion and using it to maintain power is this administration's governing technique."
