Hankook Tire Selected as 'Excellent Quality Competitiveness Company' for 11 Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 22nd that it was selected as an Excellent Quality Competitiveness Company at the 46th National Quality Management Competition hosted by the National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korean Standards Association.

In particular, Hankook Tire has been selected for 11 consecutive years since 2010, earning a place in the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame grants eligibility to companies that have been selected as Excellent Quality Competitiveness Companies 10 times or more.

In this award, Hankook Tire was recognized for its achievements in improving quality competitiveness through continuous R&D investment and efforts to enhance customer satisfaction. Especially, based on its technological capabilities and quality competitiveness, it supplies original equipment tires (OET) to approximately 320 models from 46 global automobile brands. Recently, it also demonstrated its technology by supplying original equipment tires for Porsche's first pure electric vehicle model, the Taycan.

Going forward, Hankook Tire plans to lead the global tire market based on an innovative research and development system and quality competitiveness amid the rapidly changing global business environment.

Meanwhile, the National Quality Management Competition is a national quality management promotion event that awards and commends individuals and companies who have contributed to achieving a market economy by producing outstanding management performance through quality management activities.
