[Asia Economy Reporter Hana Na] U.S. President Donald Trump responded with "Love you" to a tweet containing a fake article claiming that his sister supports contesting the presidential election results.

According to foreign media, on the morning of the 20th (local time), President Trump posted a tweet with a fake article and wrote, "Thank you, Elizabeth. Love you."

The shared article stated that Elizabeth Trump Grau, President Trump's sister, posted on Twitter claiming that Trump is the winner of the presidential election.

The account named 'Betty Trump' posted a photo of Elizabeth along with the message, "This election made me break my silence and speak out on behalf of my family. My brother won this election and will fight until the end. We have always been a family of fighters."

The account was a fake one operated by someone other than Elizabeth, posting conservative content criticizing the Democratic Party and the media.

As the controversy spread, the account operator said, "I should have made it clear sooner that this was a parody, but I did not expect President Trump to notice this account," and added, "I hope for forgiveness. Sorry for causing confusion."

Twitter permanently suspended the account, stating it violated platform manipulation and spam policies.
