[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] As the weather rapidly turns chilly with the arrival of winter, Emart is launching a discount event on heating appliances and winter clothing.
Emart will hold a "Winter Warmth Sale" from the 26th of this month to December 2nd, offering up to 50% off on heating appliances such as heaters, electric blankets, and heated rugs, as well as winter clothing and cold-weather accessories.
First, during the event period, Emart will offer discounts of up to 30,000 KRW on about 20 types of small heating appliances when purchased with the event card.
Representative products include the ‘Shinil ECO Heater,’ available for 99,800 KRW after a 30,000 KRW discount from the original price of 129,800 KRW, and the ‘Bokuk Stylist Fireplace PTC Heater,’ sold for 129,000 KRW after a 20,000 KRW discount from 149,000 KRW.
Additionally, the ‘Electroman Mini PTC Heater,’ which uses a high-efficiency PTC ceramic heater that heats comfortably without burning air and measures 270mm in size, can be purchased for 24,800 KRW with the event card.
In particular, Emart is expanding sales of new heating appliances beyond traditional ones like heaters and electric blankets, in line with the growing popularity of outdoor trends such as camping and car camping (cha-bak), as well as the rise of homebodies and home decor trends.
Emart will begin full-scale sales of the ‘Bokuk Four-Season Heated Sleeping Bag’ targeting camping and car camping enthusiasts. The heated sleeping bag contains a heating plate that warms up to a maximum of 50 degrees Celsius within about 30 to 40 minutes and can be used for an average of 8 hours and 30 minutes. It is water-resistant and lightweight, making it a four-season product that can be used as a heated sleeping bag in winter and as a blanket substitute in summer.
Along with the growing popularity of home decor, Emart will also introduce a ‘Heated Rug’ as an alternative to electric mats. The ‘Bokuk Heated Rug’ can be purchased for 129,000 KRW after a 20,000 KRW discount with the event card. It is a washable rug product that combines both design and warmth.
In addition to heating appliances, the event will also offer up to 50% discounts on winter clothing and cold-weather accessories. Emart is holding a sale with 50% off all items in the ‘Days Down Jumper’ line, and the ‘Jjinbbang Jumper,’ a lightweight and voluminous jumper filled with high-performance cooling material called ‘Comfotemp,’ will be sold at a 30% discount.
Furthermore, ‘Days Heatfeel’ cold-weather accessories (gloves, earmuffs, beanies, neck warmers, etc.) made with ‘Heatfeel’ material will be available at a 50% discount when purchasing two items, and all cold-weather slippers and boots will be sold at a 30% discount.
Choi Hoon-hak, Emart’s marketing manager, stated, “With temperatures dropping sharply and a sudden cold wave arriving, we planned the Winter Warmth Sale. We hope customers can purchase cold-weather products at reasonable prices through this event and enjoy a warm winter.”
