[Asia Economy Reporter Hana Na] Yoo Si-min, chairman of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, mentioned North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un and expressed hope that he would read the late Choi In-hoon's novel Gwangjang (The Square).

On the 20th, Yoo said on the book review YouTube broadcast 'Alileo Season 3,' "The depiction of North Korea in (Choi In-hoon's novel Gwangjang) is a story about a system, culture, and customs that erase individual human identity," adding, "I hope Chairman Kim Jong-un also reads this novel."

Regarding the passage from the novel Gwangjang, "There was no resonance on their faces. They were not the faces of passionate citizens living in a revolutionary republic," Yoo described it as "almost prophetic."

He continued, "South Korea is a system where, if one sets their mind to it, they can maintain their individuality even in difficult circumstances," and added, "It is a free square where even those who want to be corrupt have the freedom to be corrupt."

Meanwhile, Yoo agreed with the late author Choi's selection of the Constitutional Court's impeachment ruling on former President Park Geun-hye, "The respondent President Park Geun-hye is dismissed," as the finest sentence in modern history, saying, "There are very few cases in our modern history where so many people memorize a sentence verbatim."
