"Premature Judgment Without Considering Public Perception"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 21st, Yoon Hee-sook, a member of the People Power Party, criticized Jin Sun-mi, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, for her remark that "we must abandon illusions about apartments," saying, "It is truly disappointing that someone who holds great responsibility for the legislative branch and the ruling party's housing policy is so intellectually lazy."
On the same day, Yoon said on Facebook, "After touring multi-family housing, Representative Jin said, 'There are three rooms, and compared to the apartment I currently live in, there is no difference at all,'" adding, "This intellectual laziness, making hasty judgments based solely on the number of rooms without even attempting to understand the foundation of public perception, is regrettable."
Yoon also stated, "What is even more disheartening is the authoritarian attitude of dismissing the long-accumulated public perception as 'illusions or prejudices' without any basis," and added, "It is the greatest irony of our modern history that those from the democratization generation, more than anyone else, are steeped in totalitarian thinking and neglect the fundamentals."
