Gwangyang City Provides Strong Support for Small Business Loan Guarantee Fees

For 780 Businesses Participating in This Year's Small Business Loan Interest Support Program

Gwangyang City Provides Strong Support for Small Business Loan Guarantee Fees

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City announced on the 20th that it will promote the ‘Small Business Loan Guarantee Fee Support Project’ for participants in this year’s small business loan interest support project.

This was prepared to reduce the financial burden on local small business owners who are experiencing difficulties such as decreased visiting customers and sales due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to overcome the management crisis together.

The ‘Small Business Loan Guarantee Fee Support Project’ supports up to 0.8% (for 2 years) of the guarantee fee paid to the Jeonnam Credit Guarantee Foundation for small business policy fund loans. The support targets are 780 businesses that participated in this year’s Gwangyang City small business loan interest support project.

The city plans to notify the support recipients separately via text message, and small business owners who receive the text notification can submit the support application form, resident registration abstract (including past address history), and national tax (tax payment certificate) and local tax payment certificates to the Gwangyang City Hall Regional Economy Division from the 23rd of this month to the 9th of next month.

If applying in person, applicants must bring their business registration certificate and ID for business and identity verification. If visiting is difficult, refer to the announcement section on the Gwangyang City website and submit the related documents via email to the person in charge.

Jung Hyun-bok, Mayor of Gwangyang City, said, “I hope this loan guarantee fee support project will provide practical help to small business owners who are experiencing management difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “We will do our best to wisely overcome the COVID-19 crisis together with small business owners in the future.”
