[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Kolon Industries FnC division's official and imported Spanish leather brand Loewe is presenting the 'Ken Price Capsule Collection' for the holiday season.
Every holiday season, Loewe has launched capsule collections through collaborations with artists, and this season it partnered with American sculptor Ken Price. He was a leading artist of the legendary Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles (LA) in the 1960s and made dedicated achievements in the field of ceramics, focusing on punk art.
The Ken Price Capsule Collection expresses Loewe's core identity of craft art in a modern and vibrant way. It also exotically captures the colors and sunshine of the Pacific, evoking a joyful mood.
Loewe's Creative Director Jonathan Anderson drew inspiration from ceramic plates Ken Price created in the early 1980s for the Le Palme restaurant in Newport Beach, presenting a collection of clothing imbued with relaxed LA sensibility and leather products printed using various techniques.
Motivated by Ken Price's colorful hand-painted plates, Loewe translated the brand's sensibility into its signature Hammock Bag and Puzzle Bag. The clothing includes silk shirts filled with highly saturated drawings, cashmere cardigans, and sweatshirts featuring palm tree illustrations.
The collection's visuals were captured dynamically in collaboration with renowned British photographer Craig McDean, and the capsule collection products will be available at Loewe stores nationwide from mid-month.
