Dongjak-gu Hosts '2020 IsuMi-ro Untact Festival'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) will hold the ‘2020 IsuMiro Untact Festival’ from the 23rd to December 4th.

IsuMiro is a 260m section near Taepyeong Department Store (Dongjak-daero 27ga-gil), a cultural content street created with LED landscape lighting combined with media signs at about 100 stores.

This event provides attractions so that residents can enjoy it online untact without restrictions of time and space through the LED screen on the special stage installed near Isu Shelter Yard and YouTube (channel name Life Village Planning Company) to prevent COVID-19 infection.

The district will hold the ‘IsuMiro Untact Busking’ from 6 p.m. on December 3rd and 4th.

First, for five days from the 23rd, support messages and song requests for residents and nearby merchants struggling due to COVID-19 will be accepted through IsuMiro KakaoTalk Plus.

Invited artists will film videos performing the selected support messages and song requests, which will be broadcast on the LED screen and YouTube channel on the day of the event.

On December 3rd, starting with a promotional video by the Art Company dance team announcing IsuMiro with splendid dance, performance videos of three teams including Dongjak-gu ambassador Soyu Kim, indie singers Hoonju Lee, Mijini, and Song Wonhyung will be presented.

On the 4th, the festival atmosphere will be enhanced with ▲actor Younghee Kim’s reading of support messages ▲singers Mateo and Yejina ▲indie hip-hop singer Rockersbin and indie band Autumn performing requested songs.

Also, from the 23rd of this month to the 4th of next month, an ‘IsuMiro Online Event’ in the form of resident participation connecting online and offline will be held, including instant scratch events and IsuMiro promotional certification photo events.

The instant scratch entry event can be participated in by scanning the QR code on the event promotional posters attached to each IsuMiro store, and the winning coupons can be used at any IsuMiro store.

In addition, an event will be held to register receipts paid during the event period or IsuMiro SNS promotional certification photos through IsuMiro KakaoTalk Plus.

The district will distribute ‘Mandatory Mask Wearing’ posters to IsuMiro stores to prevent COVID-19 infection and thoroughly check compliance with quarantine rules.

Jungwon Kim, Director of the Economic Promotion Division, said, “We hope many residents will show interest and participate so that the local economy, which has been depressed due to COVID-19, can be revitalized through this untact festival.”
