[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) received the National Quality Innovation Award (Talent Development) Presidential Citation at the 46th National Quality Management Conference held on the 19th at the COEX Auditorium in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu.
Hosted by the Korea Agency for Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Standards Association, the National Quality Management Conference award was established in 1975. It is given to individuals, companies, and public organizations that have achieved outstanding results in quality management innovation activities in manufacturing and service industries and have significantly contributed to enhancing national industrial competitiveness.
The National Quality Innovation Award (Talent Development) received by GKL is awarded to organizations that have achieved remarkable qualitative and quantitative growth in vocational competency development through human resource development. GKL was recognized for excellence in areas including ▲human resource development vision and strategy ▲social contribution ▲stable labor-management relations and welfare ▲performance evaluation and compensation ▲talent development achievements.
GKL President Yoo Tae-yeol stated, "We will continue to do our best to create social value by maintaining the sense of mission as a public enterprise and steadily striving not only to enhance the capabilities of our internal human resources but also to foster future talents and improve the competencies of tourism workers."
