[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Global interactive platform solution company Gaon Media's subsidiary Mobike announced on the 19th that it is launching a new brand ‘1t. (Wonit)’ and releasing the ‘1t. (Wonit)’ service for iPhone users.
‘Wonit’ is a new service brand based on Mobike's proprietary technology and design. The service base has been expanded to allow iOS users to utilize the ‘NFC tagging-based authentication technology solution’ that was previously only available to Android users. Customers who purchase the solution will continuously receive high-quality content such as wallpapers and lock screen images through NFC tagging.
The core technology of this service, Mobike's ‘Smart Connected,’ is a cloud-based technology that enables users to experience IP content such as photos, videos, and apps without separate downloads by using earphones, wireless chargers, phone cases, and other accessories.
Lee Sang-gil, CEO of Mobike, said, “Smartphone accessories are trending to be used not only for simple product protection but also as a means to express personal taste and individuality,” adding, “‘Wonit’ will open a new horizon in the global smartphone accessory market by providing various accessory user experience solutions and services beyond just decorating the smartphone’s appearance.”
Meanwhile, Mobike is a subsidiary of Gaon Media, which holds an 80% stake (including related parties), and sells various mobile accessory products in the global market based on smart IP content authentication platform technology. In September, it released the ‘Mr. Trot Special Package’ through an official license contract with TV Chosun and Mr. Trot.
