'Socar VIP, Mileage Accumulation When Using Cars' Korean Air X Socar Partnership

"When International Flights Recover, Cooperation with 'Tada Air' and Others"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Korean Air has partnered with the mobility platform 'Socar' to offer various partnership services, including mileage accumulation, in the first half of next year.

Korean Air announced on the 18th that it signed a business partnership agreement with Socar at the Korean Air headquarters in Seosomun, Jung-gu, Seoul on the 17th. The signing ceremony was attended by Jang Sung-hyun, Vice President of Marketing and IT at Korean Air, and Wi Hyun-jong, Vice President of Socar.

Based on this agreement, both companies will mutually provide discount benefits to customers using their websites and applications in the first half of next year. Korean Air will offer Socar discount coupons to customers who purchase airline tickets through its website and app, while Socar will provide Korean Air airline ticket discount coupons to vehicle users.

Additionally, Socar Club VIP members can accumulate Korean Air mileage when using Socar, and customers who use Socar vehicles via the Korean Air website will receive ongoing discounts. Both companies plan to gradually expand these partnership services as the related systems are established.

A Korean Air official stated, "Through this partnership, we plan to discover new partnership models based on the travel needs and data patterns of both companies' customers in the long term, and realize personalized marketing tailored to various mobility purposes." He added, "Furthermore, when international passenger demand recovers in the future, we plan to implement airport pick-up and sending services linked with Tada Air."
