Stay-at-Home Era... Opening of the '2020 KOFURN Furniture Exhibition'

Held at Ilsan KINTEX Halls 2-3 from the 19th to 22nd

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon]The 31st Korea International Furniture & Interior Industry Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as KOFURN) opened on the 19th.

KOFURN is a comprehensive furniture exhibition representing the furniture industry, featuring furniture, interior accessories, woodworking machinery, raw and subsidiary materials, traditional furniture, and furniture designer works.

Hosted annually by the Korea Furniture Industry Cooperative Federation, this year's event is held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, until the 22nd. Over 180 companies are participating, with 820 exhibition booths.

Especially this year, as time spent at home has increased due to remote work, homeschooling, homecations, and home cafes, various furniture and home styling suited to the diversified functions of home spaces are showcased. Since the event was organized to revitalize small and medium-sized furniture companies affected by COVID-19, it also supports maintaining sales channels and activating marketing for these companies going through difficult times.

During the exhibition, the 'KOFURN Mall' Naver Smart Store will be launched, and in collaboration with Naver Shopping Live, consumers can purchase KOFURN products in real-time via their mobile phones. After experiencing the products on-site first, they can also purchase them online after the exhibition.

To build the online platform, the federation plans to sign a business agreement at 11 a.m. on the same day with 'Sisup (Archisketch)', a company specializing in 3D interior platform development. Through this agreement, they intend to provide various sales channel support projects linked to online, such as 3D furniture product modeling, interior design platforms, and online furniture sales targeting small and medium-sized furniture companies.

The exhibition operates from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
