[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced on the 11th that it received winter supplies to help underprivileged neighbors stay warm from ABC Mart Korea (CEO Kiho Lee).

The supplies delivered that day consisted of 2,000 pairs of shoes, worth a total of 32 million KRW.

This donation was made possible through a connection with Global Vision, an international relief and development organization located in Gangseo-gu (Chairman Yongsoo Shin).

ABC Mart Korea participated in the ‘SarangON’ campaign run by Global Vision as part of its efforts to expand community contribution activities.

The ‘SarangON’ campaign is a social contribution activity that supports low-income vulnerable residents in welfare blind spots by receiving donated goods.

The district plans to distribute the shoes received that day to vulnerable residents in the area, including low-income single-parent families and multicultural family youth.

In particular, the shoes come in various sizes ranging from 220mm to 290mm, are available in three colors, and are comfortable to wear, which is expected to be of great help to vulnerable residents.

Kim Sung-ki, Director of the Welfare Policy Division, said, “We are grateful for the warm sharing for vulnerable residents who are going through even more difficult times due to COVID-19 and the cold weather. We will deliver the precious hearts of the donors well to the residents.”
