Mando Wins Brand Pillar Award in Autonomous Driving Technology from Ford USA

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Global automotive parts company Mando announced on the 18th that it has received the Brand Pillar award in the autonomous driving technology category from Ford, a U.S. automaker brand.

'Brand Pillars' represent the brand values pursued by Ford, and Ford adopts Brand Pillars keywords as the main award titles at the annual 'Annual World Excellence Awards (WEA)'.

This year, the Brand Pillars were divided into four categories, and among them, Mando received the Brand Pillar award in the autonomous driving technology category. Previously, last year, Mando received the Brand Pillar award in the safety category, earning the honor for two consecutive years including this year.

The Mando product that led to this award is the vehicle steering system (STO) installed in large trucks. Mando currently produces the STO locally at its Mando U.S. plant located in Georgia and supplies it to Ford.

The WEA event, celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year, was held online. Attending the awards ceremony, Seonghyun Cho, Senior Vice President of Mando, said, "As a strategic partner with Ford, we will do our best to provide not only steering system solutions but also electronic braking system technologies."
