Emart24 Launches Pre-Orders for 'Chosun Hotel Kimchi' Ahead of Kimjang Season

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Emart24 announced on the 18th that it will offer a total of 13 types of kimchi products for ‘Gimpo-jok (Kimchi-making enthusiasts)’ including 9 types of kimchi and 4 types of kimchi-making products for ‘Kimjang-jok’ through pre-orders for one month until the 18th of next month.

First, they are introducing ‘Peacock Chosun Hotel Kimchi’ for the first time. The Peacock Chosun Hotel Kimchi available for pre-order includes three types: 4kg whole cabbage kimchi, 4kg whole cabbage kimchi with 1.5kg young radish kimchi, and 4kg whole cabbage kimchi with 1.5kg chonggak kimchi.

The three types of Peacock Chosun Hotel Kimchi are made using recipes from chefs at the Chosun Hotel, which boasts a 100-year history. They enhance the flavor with domestically grown napa cabbage and radish, and Korean chili powder, and use a special broth to bring out a deep umami taste. Customers who purchase any of the three Chosun Hotel kimchi types during the pre-order period will receive a ‘Peacock Delicious Boiled Pork’ gifticon redeemable at Emart24.

Following last year, they will also sell Jongga Jip packaged kimchi. This year, four new types of packaged kimchi have been added to last year’s lineup, including Jeolla-do style whole cabbage kimchi (10kg), central region style whole cabbage kimchi (10kg), young radish kimchi (2.5kg), chonggak kimchi (2.5kg), Dolsan mustard leaf kimchi (3kg), and green onion kimchi (2.5kg).

For self kimchi-makers, Olban Kitchen’s two types of salted napa cabbage (10kg and 20kg) and seasoning mix (5kg) kimchi-making products are also prepared. The two types of salted napa cabbage are made from domestically grown cabbage from Asan and Haenam, produced in HACCP-certified facilities. Customers can make kimchi immediately after removing excess water without additional washing. They also sell a clean and refreshing central region style seasoning mix (5kg) and chili powder made from Taeyangcho peppers.

Until December 18, customers can visit their nearest Emart24 store, fill out the order form at the bottom of the leaflet, and make payment to receive free courier delivery on their desired delivery date. Delivery of kimchi products takes 1 to 2 days from the order date.

Yoo Jin Lee, buyer of Emart24 Daily Team, said, “With kimchi-making costs rising compared to last year, we prepared this event by significantly expanding the product lineup for Gimpo-jok who feel the burden of shopping costs, as well as for single-person households and dual-income families.”
