[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] The Korea Federation of Medium-Sized Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as KFME) announced on the 17th that it held the '2020 Sharing World, Good Neighbor' event in celebration of Medium-Sized Enterprises Week and donated sponsorship funds and goods worth 200 million won.

The 'Sharing World, Good Neighbor' initiative, started by KFME in 2018, is a representative social contribution activity involving KFME member companies.

This year, KFME plans to deliver all the annual accumulated donation funds, along with an additional 17 million won in sponsorship from Korea Zinc and Heerim Architects & Planners, and member company sponsored goods to local children's centers and libraries through the nonprofit organization Happy People.

The sponsored goods include 17,712 children's clothing items sent by Asung Daiso, 500 Aurora World dolls, 20 sets of health functional foods for children and adolescents from Huons, 5,000 children's books and reference books from MiraeN, 3,000 stationery sets, and 816 sets of hand sanitizers, hand cleansers, and toothpaste and toothbrushes from Lion Korea.

Ban Won-ik, Executive Vice Chairman of KFME, said, "It is truly heartbreaking to imagine the harsh winter that will push children in difficult circumstances even harder amid the hardships caused by COVID-19," adding, "We hope that the small sincerity of the medium-sized enterprise sector will bring some comfort to the hearts of children, and we will continue to contribute to restoring warmth in our society through various social contribution activities."
