Macaron and T1 Taxi Run Together... Building an Integrated Platform

[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KST Mobility, the operator of 'Macaron Taxi,' has joined hands with T1 Mobility, the operator of the taxi-hailing app ‘T1 Taxi,’ to build an integrated mobility platform.

Through this collaboration, both companies plan to launch an integrated brand app that allows mutual dispatch. To this end, KST Mobility and T1 Mobility have agreed to jointly develop the integrated platform system. After building the integrated platform, the companies will conduct joint sales and sequentially apply various franchise services, voucher taxis, app meters, and taxi terminals.

Lee Haeng-yeol, CEO of KST Mobility, said, “As competition among taxi platforms intensifies and the mobility market is led by large corporations, this collaboration aims to actively create a win-win model not only among mobility companies but also with the taxi industry.” He added, “We will strive to establish more diverse and successful cooperation cases to provide improved mobility services nationwide.”

KST Mobility operates a platform franchise taxi business nationwide based on approximately 10,000 franchise taxis in 10 regions including Seoul, Daegu, Ulsan, Jeju, and Gyeonggi-do’s Bucheon, Suwon, Osan, and Hwaseong. Meanwhile, T1 Mobility currently provides phone-call linked regional app taxi services in Yongin, Jinju, Gimpo, and Tongyeong.
