Beanpole Golf Unveils Endangered Animal Collection

Clean Beauty Brand 'Farmacy' Joint Promotion

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Beanpole Golf, a division of Samsung C&T Fashion Group, announced on the 17th that it has launched an endangered animal collection to raise awareness about endangered species based on the philosophy of a sustainable brand.

Samsung C&T Fashion Group declared in September, together with its partners, to share and practice common principles related to human rights and environmental protection. Centered around Beanpole, the group is leading efforts such as using recycled materials and fillings, complying with the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) for animal welfare, and reducing the use of fabrics that cause environmental pollution.

Beanpole Golf released products featuring design points inspired by endangered species that need protection due to habitat destruction and population decline caused by environmental issues such as global warming and rising sea levels. These species include the Greenland reindeer, spotted seal, and polar bear.

The collection consists of sweaters knitted using the intarsia technique (a method of knitting patterns with different colors interlocked) featuring images of polar bears, Greenland reindeer, and spotted seals, as well as socks utilizing images of Greenland reindeer and spotted seals.

Beanpole Golf’s endangered animal collection uses windproof lining to enhance warmth and offers functionality, making it perfect not only for the golf field but also for everyday wear. The prices are 359,000 KRW for the sweater and 15,000 KRW for the socks.

Kim Seunghyun, team leader of Beanpole Golf, explained, “As a sustainable brand, we introduced this collection with the intention of raising awareness about endangered animals as well as using eco-friendly materials. We focused on sublimating the animals’ beauty and cuteness into differentiated designs.”

Meanwhile, Beanpole Golf will run a joint promotion with the beauty brand ‘Farmacy,’ which emphasizes eco-friendliness and sustainability, focusing on cleansing and moisturizing products along with warm clothing for winter golfers until the 6th of next month.
