[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Gas Safety Corporation announced that it will hold the '2020 Gas Safety International Seminar' on the 27th at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.
Considering the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the seminar will also be broadcast live online through the corporation's YouTube channel. At this seminar, domestic and international experts will discuss the current state of liquefied hydrogen technology worldwide and future directions for technological development.
In the first lecture, Dr. Ethan Hett, a senior researcher at the Sandia National Laboratories in the United States, will present on the topic of 'Development Status of Liquid Hydrogen Safety Standards in the United States.'
In the second lecture, Dr. Simon Zalai, a senior expert from the French company Air Liquide, will share the 'Current Status of Liquefied Hydrogen Technology in Europe.' In the third lecture, Choi Byung-il, head of the Plant Convergence Research Division at the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials, will explain 'Plans for Building a Hydrogen Society Infrastructure Based on Liquefied Hydrogen in the Republic of Korea.'
The Korea Gas Safety Corporation stated that, in accordance with social distancing measures, the seminar will be conducted as a small-scale on-site event combined with an online non-face-to-face broadcast. Citizens who wish to participate can watch the seminar through the Korea Gas Safety Corporation's YouTube channel.
