Envionia, "Vice President Park Seong-eun Awarded Medal in Eco-friendly Industry Sector"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Enbionia, an advanced composite materials company based on wet process technology, announced that Vice President Park Sung-eun received a medal in the eco-friendly industry category at the "Government Awards Ceremony for Contribution to Promotion of Eco-friendly Technology and Consumption" held on the 13th.

The Ministry of Environment held the awards ceremony at the Seoul Press Center and honored individuals, companies, institutions, and organizations who contributed to eco-friendly technology, eco-friendly products, eco-friendly consumption, and low-carbon lifestyle practices. At the event, a total of 11 recipients were awarded for their efforts in spreading sustainable growth through eco-friendly consumption, production, and environmental technology and industry development (1 medal, 2 plaques, 2 presidential citations, 4 prime minister citations, and 2 minister of environment citations).

Vice President Park Sung-eun was recognized in the eco-friendly industry category. She is a Ph.D. in Public Health from Yonsei University and a female entrepreneur acknowledged for her efforts to advance environmental material technology. Since 2001, she has served as CTO of Enbionia, domesticating high-performance water purification filter materials with added positive charges and commercializing cellulose-based eco-friendly filter materials with positive charges as the second in the world after a U.S. company. She also led the development and commercialization of virus detection filters for water purification plants and the portable water filter called Cap Filter, which has recently gained attention due to tap water larvae issues.

Vice President Park said, "I have focused on research and development (R&D) for the advancement of domestic environmental material technology, and I will continue to strive for the localization and innovation of environmental material technology. I am truly honored to receive this award today."

Meanwhile, Enbionia continues to invest in R&D to enhance its competitiveness as a specialized advanced composite materials company. Recently selected for a national carbon fiber project, it is expanding its business area into next-generation promising composite materials. On the 27th of last month, it was recognized as an excellent environmental materials company with technological capabilities by receiving the Chungcheongbuk-do Small and Medium Business Technology Award.
