Agreed to Cooperate in Training Experts to Respond to Changes in the Global Automobile Industry Environment
On November 11, Busan University of Science and Technology and Korea Toyota Motor Corporation signed a family company agreement. [Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan Institute of Science and Technology (President Kang Ki-seong) signed a family company agreement with Korea Toyota Motor Corporation (CEO Takemura Nobuyuki) on the 11th at the main conference room in the main building of the university.
According to this agreement with the Department of Automotive Engineering at Busan Institute of Science and Technology, a mutual cooperation system will be established to foster specialized personnel in related fields.
About 10 people, including President Kang Ki-seong and officials from both the university and Korea Toyota Motor Corporation, attended the signing ceremony. The two organizations plan to activate a cooperative system to nurture next-generation automotive experts responding to changes in the automotive industry environment due to the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The two organizations will promote △ mutual support related to specialized personnel development projects △ employment support through excellent personnel support △ support for vehicles and practical teaching materials △ mutual human exchange and information exchange.
President Kang Ki-seong said, “Recently, the global automotive market is rapidly changing due to the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, including electric vehicles, hydrogen vehicles, and autonomous vehicles,” adding, “We expect that cooperating with Toyota Motor Corporation, the world's top automotive company, will greatly help expand employment opportunities for enrolled students and experience excellent technology in global fields.”
