Ulsan City to Screen 4 Films with Former Public Institutions from November 12 to 14... Food and Performance Events Also Planned
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A free drive-in movie theater featuring 'ASEAN films' will be held for three days from the 12th to the 14th at the Shinsegae Department Store site in the Innovation City of Jung-gu, Ulsan.
This event was jointly organized by Ulsan City, Jung-gu, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the Korea Energy Agency, Ulsan Port Authority, and other local governments and public institutions relocated to Innovation City to overcome COVID-19 blues and foster cultural ties with ASEAN countries.
Under the theme "A Journey That Does Not Leave, Drive In ASEAN," attendees can enjoy four ASEAN country films that are not easily accessible.
Additionally, various music performances including saxophone, acoustic guitar, vocal, gypsy music, and popular songs will be held.
There will also be free food trucks offering traditional foods from ASEAN countries, making the event a diverse experience of listening, watching, and tasting.
Movie viewing reservations were accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 11th, with 100 cars per movie screened.
The screening schedule is as follows: on the 12th, "Teacher's Diary" (Thailand, melodrama/romance); on the 13th, "The Cemara Family Story" (Indonesia, family entertainment); on the 14th, "Secret Agent Ali" (Malaysia, animation) and "Zombie War" (Singapore, drama).
An official from Ulsan City stated, "We plan to continue various cultural projects for local residents in collaboration with relocated public institutions."
The event will be conducted in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
