Dongjak-gu Hosts Online Job Fair for Youth

Online Job Fair Held from 16th to 27th... Over 20 Companies Scheduled to Recruit... Dedicated Job Fair Website Launched for Job Applications, Interviews, and Company Matching Support

Dongjak-gu Hosts Online Job Fair for Youth

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) will hold an online job fair for young job seekers for two weeks from the 16th to the 27th.

This online job fair is open to all youth aged 15 to 39, and more than 20 companies, including Becom Solution and Unis Eye, plan to hire young job seekers through online interviews.

The district has launched a dedicated website for this online job fair.

On the job fair site, services are provided not only for job seekers to apply for jobs but also for 1:1 online consulting with professional consultants and recommendations of suitable companies from the list of companies held by the operating company.

Programs for participating companies have also been prepared, including introductions to recruiting companies, recruitment briefings and Q&A sessions via YouTube live streaming, and YouTube company briefings.

▲Provision of employment support policies and job news ▲Conducting vocational psychological tests linked with the Worknet site ▲Special lectures on video resume production, and other services to increase job seeker participation are also operated.

Job applications can be made through the site starting from the 16th, and companies will notify applicants individually of interview times after document screening. Interviews are conducted via the Zoom program by accessing the site at the scheduled time, so there are no location restrictions.

For young job seekers who find online interviews difficult, an offline video interview room will be operated at the Noryangjin Youth Job Center from the 23rd to the 25th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, the video interview room limits the number of users per time slot to prevent COVID-19 infection, and use is only available to those who apply in advance.

In addition, the Noryangjin Youth Job Center operates a free interview suit rental service for job seekers who are not prepared with interview attire. Rental is possible on the day with just an ID card for offline video interview users.

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Noryangjin Youth Job Center.

Meanwhile, in September, the district was recognized for the excellence of the Dongjak Vocational Education Special Zone, Noryangjin Youth Job Center, and Dongjak-gu Youth Startup Support Center cases under the theme “My Job Base Camp for Youth, Dongjak-gu” at the ‘2020 Manifesto Best Practice Competition’ hosted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, winning the grand prize in the job creation and employment improvement category.

Yoon Soyeon, Director of the Job Policy Division, said, “We prepared an online job fair for young job seekers in line with the non-face-to-face recruitment trend due to COVID-19,” and added, “We will do our best to discover and support jobs for both youth and residents to overcome the economic crisis and employment difficulties caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.”
