BuddyFriends Launches Jeju Island One-Month Stay Promotion Offering Both Nature Conservation and Healing

[Culture & Life Department Reporter Kim Hee-young] Buddy Friends, Jeju’s representative ecological culture character, is conducting a one-month living promotion on Jeju Island.

Buddy Friends is an ecological culture content born from the cultural resources of the Jeju region, featuring characters inspired by birds representing Jeju, including endangered species. This promotion aims to connect participants’ fresh content creation in humanities, nature, design, and arts culture with protecting Jeju’s beautiful nature and environment, and further emphasize and promote coexistence with various living creatures.

Selected participants in the promotion will live on Jeju Island for one month, freely completing each character’s missions of Buddy Friends and fully enjoying Jeju’s unique leisure and nature.

Buddy Friends will select a total of 5 teams (5 to 10 people per team) per character and provide full support for accommodation, rental cars, and airfare for the one-month stay on Jeju. Although benefits are provided per individual, it is also possible to apply as a team of up to two people.

Applicants must be men or women aged between 20 and 40. No driver’s license is required, and multiple applications per character are allowed. The application period is until the 20th of this month, and the one-month living period is from November 23 to December 21.

The marketing manager of Buddy Friends, who planned this promotion, stated, “We hope many will participate as ‘Buddy Friends Supporters,’ a supporter group created to raise awareness of Jeju’s diverse natural environment and beauty, as well as the reality of Jeju’s wildlife damaged by human selfishness, while living on Jeju Island for one month.”
