[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jeonnam Muan Fire Station (Chief Park Won-guk) announced on the 11th that it received a group award at the awards ceremony of the '2020 National Safety Invention Challenge Idea Contest' held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building on the 10th.


Now in its third year, this competition is jointly hosted by the National Fire Agency, National Police Agency, Korea Coast Guard, and Korean Intellectual Property Office, and organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association. It is a contest aimed at discovering ideas from field public officials working in disaster and security sectors and promoting the development and utilization of safety technologies.


Firefighters at Muan Fire Station submitted ideas they conceived during field activities and received the group award as the institution that submitted the most ideas passing the preliminary screening relative to the number of personnel.


Chief Park Won-guk said, "Although busy with field activities, I am grateful that many employees showed interest in equipment for quick response and safety and submitted ideas," adding, "I hope they continue to take interest in various fields such as equipment to protect the lives and property of the residents."
