Meetuzen, Q3 Cumulative Sales of 85.6 Billion KRW... "Record Highest Sales Achieved"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Metuzen announced on the 10th through a preliminary earnings report that its cumulative consolidated financial statements for the third quarter of this year recorded sales of 85.6 billion KRW, operating profit of 37.2 billion KRW, and net profit of 30.4 billion KRW. These figures represent increases of 23.2%, 17.6%, and 17.1% respectively compared to the same period last year, marking the highest performance in the company's history.

The third quarter results showed sales of 28.9 billion KRW, operating profit of 11.7 billion KRW, and net profit of 9.6 billion KRW. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 12.5%, while operating profit and net profit decreased by 5.5% and 7.1%, respectively.

The company stated, “Our core business games, including the social casino centered on Classic Vegas Casino and casual games such as ‘Solitaire’ and ‘Trypicks,’ maintained stable performance. In particular, Trypicks’ sales have continuously grown since its launch, mainly in North America and Europe, contributing significantly to quarterly record-high sales growth.”

They added, “One-time expenses of approximately 1.5 billion KRW, including listing costs and special bonuses incurred due to the KOSDAQ listing in August, temporarily reduced profits. However, if these one-time costs were excluded, the third quarter operating profit would also show solid growth compared to the same period last year.”

Metuzen CFO Sung Jongwon said, “We expect sales to increase in the fourth quarter winter season due to various events such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Centered on the steadily growing Trypicks, we plan to release a new casual game called ‘Word TapTap’ in the fourth quarter of this year, followed by sequential releases of new social casino and casual games in the first half of next year to continue sustainable growth.”
