As of October, Cumulative Fund Size Reaches 4.2 Trillion KRW, 540,000 Subscribers in Mutual Aid Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The accumulated fund of the Tomorrow Filling Deduction managed by the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) has surpassed 4 trillion won. The Tomorrow Filling Deduction is a policy-based deduction project where small business owners and workers jointly accumulate deduction funds at a certain rate, and if the worker remains employed for more than five years, the accumulated funds are paid as performance rewards.
SBC announced that on the 10th, it held an event at its headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam, to commemorate the accumulation of 4 trillion won in the Tomorrow Filling Deduction fund. Since its launch in August 2014, the Tomorrow Filling Deduction project has reached an accumulated fund size of 4.2 trillion won and over 540,000 subscribers as of October this year.
At the event, more than 70 people participated both online and offline, including Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC; Kim Hak-bin, Head of Planning and Management at Korea South-East Power; Kim Jong-gil, Vice Chairman of the Innobiz Association; and representatives of outstanding small and medium venture companies subscribed to the Tomorrow Filling Deduction. SBC shared the operational achievements of the Tomorrow Filling Deduction project and conducted a non-face-to-face Q&A session with representatives and subscribers of the subscribed companies. Outstanding Tomorrow Filling Deduction entrepreneurs Lee Myung-hee, CEO of Solgent; Kim Jung-mook, CEO of Hanbit Laser; and Seo Young-soon, CEO of Geumseong Innotek, received commemorative plaques.
Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC, said, "Small and medium venture companies and their employees are the main drivers of our country's economy," adding, "SBC will continuously improve the Tomorrow Filling Deduction project to alleviate wage and welfare gaps between large and small-medium enterprises and will do its best to firmly support the coexistence and growth of small businesses and key personnel."
