[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] LG Electronics' strategic smartphone 'LG Wing' will appear in the new film by director Michael Bay.
On the 10th, LG Electronics announced that it had conducted collaborative marketing with the movie 'SongBird,' produced by Michael Bay and directed by Adam Mason. The recently released trailer features the 'LG Wing,' where actors naturally showcase the product's key features by using the LG Wing's swivel mode for video calls.
'SongBird' stars famous Hollywood actors such as Demi Moore, K.J. Apa, and Sofia Carson, and is a highly anticipated release scheduled for later this year. LG Electronics launched the LG Wing through Verizon, the largest mobile carrier in the United States, on the 15th of last month. It is planned to be released sequentially in countries including Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia, starting with the U.S.
The LG Wing offers users the convenience of a familiar bar-type smartphone, with the added feature of rotating the main screen clockwise to reveal and use a hidden second screen when needed.
Jung Soo-heon, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics MC Overseas Sales Group, emphasized, "The collaboration with director Michael Bay is part of a marketing campaign planned to coincide with the global launch of the LG Wing," adding, "We will actively target customers who desire a new change in smartphones."
