Food Delivery by Star Chefs During 'Seoul Gourmet Week' from 11th to 15th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Barogo, a startup operating a last-mile logistics IT platform (CEO Lee Taekwon), announced on the 9th that it will provide delivery services at the 'Seoul Restaurant@Home' event, one of the events held during the 5-day 'Seoul Gourmet Week' starting on the 11th.
'Seoul Restaurant@Home' is an event planned by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to allow people to enjoy dishes from famous restaurants that had not introduced delivery services through delivery during Seoul Gourmet Week. Ten restaurants from five districts participated and developed special delivery menus. These include 'Grand Amour' and 'Hyu135' in Yongsan-gu, 'Zero Complex' and 'Joo Ok' in Jung-gu, 'Hansik Gonggan' and 'Onjium' in Jongno-gu, 'Mingles' and 'Jungsikdang' in Gangnam-gu, and 'Swaniye' and 'Table for Four' in Seocho-gu.
Orders are received through Ddingdong, which has signed an agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Zero Delivery Union, and Barogo provides the delivery service. To maintain the quality of the food, orders are accepted only up to a predetermined quantity in advance. Delivery areas and ordering methods can be checked on the Ddingdong app. A Barogo official said, "We expect this event to provide small comfort to citizens living in the contactless era and open up possibilities for star chefs to expand delivery services."
