Hyundai L&C "Next Year's Interior Trend is 'Stay Home'" InTrend


[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Hyundai L&C has presented 'Stay Home' as the core keyword for interior trends next year. This reflects the lifestyle changes of consumers caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


Hyundai L&C, a comprehensive building materials company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 8th that it held an interior trend seminar 'InTrend 2021·2022' on the 6th via a video conferencing program and revealed the interior trends for next year.


InTrend, now in its 11th year, is a seminar where Hyundai L&C proposes interior trends for the coming year. This year, about 1,500 people including construction and interior industry professionals as well as general consumers participated online.


The core keyword for next year's interior trends suggested by Hyundai L&C is 'Stay Home,' which is divided into three trends reflecting lifestyle changes due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic: ▲ spaces for protecting oneself (Care at home) ▲ spaces for working (Work at home) ▲ spaces for inviting acquaintances (Gather at home). A company official explained, "Next year, familiar patterns that provide stability, natural colors and materials that reduce fatigue, and bold decorations that can create a cafe or restaurant atmosphere are expected to be popular."


Hyundai L&C plans to release the video of this InTrend seminar on its official YouTube channel on the 18th. They will continue to upload interior information useful to consumers through the YouTube channel. A Hyundai L&C official said, "Starting with this InTrend, we plan to expand communication with construction and interior industry professionals as well as general consumers and continuously introduce products reflecting consumers' opinions."
