Following Europe, Expansion into the US and Canada... Strengthening Global Strategy

National Geographic Opens Disney Shop-in-Shop Stores in North America

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] The National Geographic Apparel, operated by The Nature Holdings (CEO Park Young-jun), is expanding into the United States and Canada following its entry into Europe.

National Geographic Apparel announced on the 5th that it will open in North America, specifically in the US and Canada, from the end of this month through ShopDisney.com and Disney Store offline shop-in-shop formats. By leveraging Disney's major distribution channels, it plans to increase opportunities to connect with various age groups, and based on consumer response and local market conditions, it will expand its distribution channels and product supply scale to standalone stores and more.

The product categories debuting in the North American market of the US and Canada include National Geographic's key items such as fall and winter apparel, bags, and carriers.

National Geographic Apparel is also expanding its presence in the Asian market by entering Taiwan last August through Momentum Sports, an outdoor sports product distributor. It supplied the first batch of fall and winter new products in September this year, and due to strong sales response, it exported a second batch this month.

This year, the brand entered major European countries such as France and the United Kingdom, and is accelerating its full-scale global market expansion to North America. Next year, it plans to extend its reach to China and Japan.

A brand representative stated, “Following our entry into Europe last month, and now into North America with the US and Canada, we are gradually expanding our global market presence and anticipate good results in the first half of next year. Going forward, National Geographic Apparel will do its best to become a global brand by introducing excellent products through various attempts.”
