[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] In the three-dimensional master plan design competition for the 'Ansan Jangsang Public Housing District,' the 'Sangnok City' by the Daehan Consultant Consortium was selected as the best work.
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 4th that it will officially start the project to establish the district plan along with the announcement of the winning work of the Ansan Jangsang District three-dimensional master plan design competition.
The Ansan Jangsang District was announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as the third public housing site in May last year. LH held the three-dimensional master plan design competition last September to develop this area into a city where street spaces and buildings harmonize.
The 'Sangnok City' by the Daehan Consultant Consortium, selected as the best work, proposed creating an integrated city that connects the segmented project area and unites with the surrounding urban area, with the vision of a 'Green Community Cultural City' sharing various activities and a 'Sustainable Future City' that looks forward to tomorrow.
The winning company will serve as the general planner for the Ansan Jangsang District and collaborate with LH, local governments, other project implementers, and general planners from other fields to prepare a distinctive urban plan.
After starting the project, LH will carry out a total of 17 tasks, including the basic plan, district unit plan, smart city basic plan, landscape and landscaping plan, and energy use plan, and plans to apply for district plan approval in the first half of next year.
Jung Woonsup, head of LH's New Town Business Department, said, "Based on the ideas presented through this competition, we will accelerate the project and do our best to make the Ansan Jangsang District a prime location for realizing residential welfare in the southwestern metropolitan area where history, culture, and art harmonize."
