Upon hearing the tragic news, colleagues from the entertainment industry such as Park Jung-min, Song Eun-i, and Park Sung-kwang rushed to visit her funeral hall to bid farewell to the deceased.
Actor Park Jung-min, who was close friends with the late during her lifetime, was the first to arrive at the funeral hall at Ewha Mokdong Hospital in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, where the late’s wake was held on the 2nd, shedding tears.
Park Jung-min had previously appeared on MBC’s 'I Live Alone' and revealed his close friendship with the late, who was a fellow alumnus of Korea University and a fan of Pengsoo, mentioning, "She was a sister I liked and was very grateful to." The two built their friendship after meeting at a movie premiere, and the late was known to have taken charge of hosting Park Jung-min’s fan meetings, showcasing their deep bond.
Actress Park Bo-young also visited the funeral hall to pay her respects. It was reported that Park Ji-sun had taken charge of hosting production presentations for movies and dramas starring Park Bo-young during her lifetime.
The line of condolences from fellow comedians continued. Song Eun-i, who especially cherished junior comedian Park Ji-sun, visited the funeral hall early. Song Eun-i had always singled out Park Ji-sun as a promising junior on variety shows, showing her affection.
Park Sung-kwang, who worked alongside her on 'Gag Concert,' also visited the funeral hall shortly after. In addition, fellow comedians Kim Min-kyung, Yoo Min-sang, Kang Jae-joon, Lee Eun-hyung, Kim Shin-young, and others arrived one after another to mourn the deceased, shedding tears continuously.
In the wake of the sudden tragic news, colleagues in the entertainment industry also expressed their sorrow through social media. Kim Won-hyo, Jung Jong-cheol, Jang Young-ran, Kim Ji-min, and others prayed for the late’s peaceful rest.

In particular, comedian Ahn Young-mi, who was hosting a live broadcast on the day the news of the late’s passing was announced, broke down in tears and had to stop the broadcast. She is a KBS public recruitment comedian from the 19th class and was a senior to Park Ji-sun (22nd class), having worked together with the late on 'Gag Concert.'
Also, Kim Young-chul, a senior comedian in the comedy world to the late, delivered a message of condolence. On the 3rd, on SBS PowerFM’s 'Kim Young-chul’s PowerFM' (Cheolpaem), he said, "I can’t believe it. Yesterday, such shocking and sad news was delivered. She was a junior I truly cherished and loved, who said that making people laugh was when she was happiest," referring to the late.
Park Ji-sun had appeared as a regular panelist on the 'Suzy’s True Colors' segment of 'Cheolpaem' in the past. He tearfully said about her, "We worked together on the radio for three years, but she rarely talked about hardships or pain. I thought we were very close, but I realize I didn’t know much about Ji-sun. I feel so sorry to say goodbye, and the production team wasn’t prepared either."
Moreover, as the late had hosted numerous music showcase events during her lifetime, the music industry also expressed condolences toward her.
Super Junior’s Leeteuk posted a photo with the late on social media, saying, "I sincerely pray for the late’s happiness in the afterlife. It’s upsetting and saddening that my phone now has more numbers that won’t answer when I call. I pray that she won’t be in pain and will be happy there."
SHINee’s Key also posted a photo with Park Ji-sun and other members, saying, "Noona, thank you always. I’m sorry I couldn’t express it with all my heart. I pray you rest comfortably now."
Gahye from After School shared her feelings, saying, "You’ve become a star, Ji-sun... You must rest peacefully." In addition, 2PM’s Junho, Baek A-yeon, Hyun Jin-young, and others also joined the wave of condolences.

Earlier, on the 2nd at around 1:44 p.m., Park Ji-sun was found dead along with her mother at their home in Mapo-gu. A note resembling a suicide letter, believed to have been written by her mother, was found at the residence, but its contents were not disclosed according to the family’s wishes.
Meanwhile, Park Ji-sun debuted as a KBS 22nd class public recruitment comedian in 2007 and appeared on shows such as 'Gag Concert,' 'Full House,' 'Song Eun-i Kim Sook’s Movie Guarantee,' 'Take Care of the Cat,' and 'Weekly Idol.'
She was loved for her overflowing talent and received awards including the 2007 KBS Entertainment Awards Female Rookie Award in the Comedy category, the 2008 KBS Entertainment Awards Female Excellence Award in Comedy, and the 2010 KBS Entertainment Awards Female Top Excellence Award in Comedy.
