Dong-Eui University President's Cup Busan Disabled Badminton Tournament Held Dong-Eui University President's Cup Busan Disabled Badminton Tournament.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) held the "1st Dong-Eui University President's Cup Busan Metropolitan City Disabled Badminton Tournament" at the Dong-Eui University Hyomin Gymnasium starting from 12 PM on November 1st.


With the slogan "10 Years Together, a Beautiful Journey Created by Dong-Eui University and the Busan Disabled Sports Association," this tournament was held for the first time this year. It was hosted by the Dong-Eui University University Innovation Support Project Group (Director Jo Jae-kyun) and organized by the Dong-Eui University Social Service Center (Director Yoon Hyun-seo) and the Busan Disabled Badminton Association. The Dong-Eui University LINC+ Project Group sponsored the event.


On the day of the event, about 80 participants including 40 professors, staff, and students from the Dong-Eui University Badminton Club, about 30 players from badminton clubs (Hyomin, Raon, Gangseo), and about 10 members from the Busan Disabled Sports Association competed in doubles matches divided into Group A and Group B in a league format.


Attendees included Dong-Eui University President Han Su-hwan, Director of Student Welfare Lee Cheol-gyun, Director of LINC+ Project Group Lee Im-geon, Secretary General of Busan Disabled Sports Association Kim Cheol-woo, Head of Disabled Sports Team at Busan Sports Promotion Division Lee Seon-hwa, President of Busan Disabled Badminton Club Park Gwan-yul, and parents who cheered for the players.


In the results, Group A was won by the pair Choi Ye-jun and Park Mi-sun from Raon Club, while the pair Ryu Jae-sung and Lee Hyun-ji took second place with a certificate and trophy.


In Group B, the pairs Lee Yoon and Ok Yoon-soo from Hyomin Club and Jung Hae-sik and Kim Jae-hoon from Gangseo Club won first and second place respectively.


President Han Su-hwan of Dong-Eui University said in his opening remarks, "For the past 10 years, Dong-Eui University and the Busan Disabled Badminton Club players have communicated and sweated together. In August, we also signed a mutual business agreement with the Busan Disabled Sports Association, creating a platform for harmony. This tournament is meaningful as it was prepared to realize a 'university model in cooperation with the local community' through badminton and to share the university's development with the local community and grow together."


Dong-Eui University and the Busan Disabled Sports Association (Acting President Byun Seong-wan) signed a business cooperation agreement on August 14th at Dong-Eui University to support "the physical health and psychological stability of disabled persons."


Through this agreement, the two organizations have been cooperating in developing programs and holding seminars for the dreams and hopes of disabled persons, exchanging human and material resources, and operating joint projects.
