"Increase Digital Literacy" Woori Financial Group Distributes Digital E-Magazine to All Group Employees

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Financial Group announced on the 3rd that it will conduct the 'Woori Digital Insight Program' for all employees of the group companies.

Woori Digital Insight is produced in the form of card news and distributed to all group companies once a month in the form of an electronic magazine. Practical staff in the digital departments of the group companies actively participate from planning to production and distribution, discovering topics suitable for the general employees' perspective and creating content.

This program was prepared to enhance the understanding of the digital field among all employees of the group companies by having employees from Woori Financial Holdings, the bank, card, FIS, and the Financial Management Research Institute's digital departments directly produce content related to digital marketing, new technologies, and trends and disseminate it to all group employees.

So far, it has covered recent issues related to digital finance such as Digital Transformation (DT), MyData, and Artificial Intelligence in finance, and it is expected to play a role in raising digital literacy across the entire group in the rapidly changing financial environment.

A Woori Financial Group official stated, "Considering the digital influence on the financial industry recently, relying solely on the digital department cannot lead the rapidly changing changes," and added, "Beyond planting digital DNA in all group companies, we will continuously promote an environment where employees empathize and move as one team with the goal of 'Digital First, Change Everything."

Meanwhile, Woori Financial Group is also conducting external linkage programs to enhance the advanced expertise of digital staff. The big data and artificial intelligence (AI) joint training with KT, which started its first session in October, is scheduled to hold the second session this month, with 40 digital field staff from Woori Financial Group attending. This joint training is conducted as a process of exchanging digital capabilities between the two companies and deriving tasks that can be applied in the field.
