According to the police on the 2nd, Park Ji-sun was found dead with her mother at their home in Mapo-gu, Seoul, at around 1:44 PM that day.

Her colleagues could not hide their sorrow over her passing.

During the MBC radio show "Date at Two with Muzi, this is Ahn Young-mi," Ahn Young-mi left the studio upon hearing the news of Park Ji-sun's death. When Ahn Young-mi suddenly burst into tears loudly after hearing the news, Muzi and Song Jin-woo finished the broadcast after a song was played.

Kim Won-hyo posted on his social media, "I hoped it wasn't true... Please pray for our Ji-sun," along with a photo of a person praying.

O Ji-heon also mourned by posting a photo of praying hands with the caption "Ji-sun-ah."

Film critic and writer Heo Ji-woong shared a passage from a book on his social media, saying, "Rest in peace to Park Ji-sun and her mother. Please share this with neighbors who are struggling." The passage encourages continuing life despite hardships.

Meanwhile, the KBS 2TV "Gag Concert" team and the Korea Broadcasting Comedians Association are also in shock and are assessing the situation.

It was reported that Park Ji-sun had recently declined event invitations.

A music industry official said, "She was very good at hosting and had great rapport, so she received many love calls as a host," adding, "When we contacted her recently to invite her as an MC for a showcase, she said it would be difficult due to scheduling."

Another official said, "She was an outstanding host, especially prioritized for showcase invitations," and expressed regret, saying, "I heard that when some invitations were made recently, she asked for understanding because she couldn’t make it on those dates. I never imagined something like this would happen."

Netizens expressed their condolences upon hearing the tragic news, saying things like "I hope this is not true," "I wish this was a false report," and "I can't believe it."

One netizen lamented, "She was a comedian I really liked. She was cheerful and performed funny comedy without attacking others."

The police are investigating the circumstances of her death, and the funeral venue has not yet been decided.
