[Culture & Life Section Reporter Heeyoung Kim] Material consideration is one of the most important areas for fashion brands. Since products come into contact with the body and hands, they must be soft and non-toxic. Louis Quatorze has launched a premium line called ‘Cheese Bag,’ which features luxurious materials and sophisticated craftsmanship. Patagonia introduces six new designs in the ‘Fleecelab’ collection, made with recycled materials that are environmentally friendly.
Louis Quatorze Launches 2020 F/W Season Premium Line ‘Cheese Bag’
The French-origin fashion brand Louis Quatorze has released the 2020 F/W season premium lineup ‘Cheese Bag.’
Louis Quatorze Premium is a line that incorporates luxurious colors and materials with meticulous and refined details, elevating the quality of leather and production techniques to the next level.
The premium line, crafted by artisans with 30 years of experience, uses ‘full grain leather’ without cover paint or vinyl coating, characterized by its subtle gloss and excellent texture. Additionally, the ‘aniline’ coating method is applied to maintain the natural texture of the leather while enhancing its luster.
Moreover, the highest quality German premium Gutermann thread is used, making the stitches appear as natural and glossy as silk, with a vivid volume.
The Cheese Bag, introduced in the new premium line, expresses the form of cheese through its shape line, and the new gold symbol has volume and weight. The tote bag and one-shoulder bag feature belt decorations for added style, while the round shape bag and square bag highlight vivid colors as focal points.
A Louis Quatorze representative stated, “The premium line presented in the 2020 F/W collection enhances quality with the finest materials and the skills of domestic artisans with 30 years of experience, while offering modern design sensibilities and differentiated quality. We focused on expanding the target audience by creating a product line that can attract the younger generation’s demand.”
Patagonia Launches Exclusive ‘Fleecelab’ Collection
Patagonia Korea, a global eco-friendly outdoor sports brand, is launching the exclusive collection ‘Fleecelab.’
Since developing fleece material in 1979, Patagonia has been introducing various fleece products every year with new designs, fabrics, and styles to reduce dependence on synthetic fibers derived from petroleum and to minimize clothing waste.
This season’s ‘Fleecelab’ uses recycled polyester fleece and recycled wool, with all products made from synthetic materials blended with recycled or natural fibers. This reduces carbon emissions during the manufacturing process compared to regular polyester fleece, minimizing environmental impact throughout production. The collection will be released in six styles, including jackets, vests, pullovers, and pants.
Additionally, all products are manufactured in factories certified for fair trade, reflecting Patagonia’s corporate philosophy that prioritizes living wages and welfare improvements for workers.
A Patagonia marketing representative said, “Patagonia is expanding the use of recycled fabrics every year to reduce environmental impact. Through this, we aim to spread the value of recycling and become a driving force for many consumers and companies to participate in this effort.”
