On the afternoon of the 31st, Prime Minister Chung attended the opening ceremony of the country's largest shopping festival, '2020 Korea Sale Festa,' held at the 'Seoul ON' studio in Seoul City Hall to deliver a congratulatory speech.

During the event, campaigns such as the 'Thumbs Up Challenge Campaign,' where consumers and companies support each other, took place. In the process, Prime Minister Chung met a couple in their 20s, leading to a surprise event.

The couple in their 20s, attending as part of the national participation group, suddenly approached Prime Minister Chung and requested, "Your expression is so kind that we would like to have you as the officiant for our wedding."

Prime Minister Chung nodded and readily replied, "I will do so." It was an unplanned, spontaneous situation. At the venue, applause erupted in celebration of this brave couple. Prime Minister Chung will support their new start as a couple through his officiating speech at their wedding scheduled for January 16 next year.

According to Cho Sung-man, Director of the Prime Minister's Office Public Relations, Prime Minister Chung said, "I feel sorry for young people who are already struggling, but I think we should at least give this kind of congratulation to those who are getting married with difficulty."
